She graduated from Gwynedd Mercy College with a degree in Elementary Education in 1981 and has continued her education by attending many teaching workshops and programs throughout the years.

Kathy has also taught after-school sports at the Ocean City Primary School After-School Program and has run birthday parties at The Dance Place. She is First Aide and CPR certified.
