The Bright Stars level 4 team competed in the Fall Fiesta meet at Cherry Hill gymnastics on September 28th.  The team was able to capture first place finishes in all four events as well as the all around.  Morgan Shyner, 10, of Somers Point earned scores of 9.575 on both vault and floor exercise earning her the first place title in the all around with a 37.325.  Shyner also placed first on balance beam with a 9.175 and a 9.0 on bars placing fourth.  Ashley Jamison, 9, of Upper Twp finished 2nd in the all around with a score of 36.575.  Jamison scored a 9.45 2nd on vault, a 9.1 2nd on uneven bars, a 9.2 3rd place finish on floor exercise and an 8.825 3rd place finish on balance beam. Alison Toth, 10, of Northfield finished 4th overall in the all around with scores of 9.25 first place on uneven bars and a 9.1 4th place on floor.  Jasmin Martinez, 10, of Egg Harbor Township finished the all around with a 34.625 7th place finish. Martinez scored a 9.1 6th place finish on floor exercise.  Alexis Dearborn, 10 of Northfield scored an 8.85 6th place finish on floor exercise.  Christa Cullen, 10, of Egg Harbor Township had an 8.9 5th place finish on uneven bars.  All six girls contributed to the highest ever finish for Bright Stars in its young history.  The team placed 3rd out of seven teams.
